New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Pick-up from Delhi hotel and transfer to Agra.
En-route you will visit Sikandra, the mausoleum of the Mughal emperor Akbar. The tomb is constructed with a fine blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles.
On your arrival in Agra, you will proceed to discover the city of Agra. This will include a visit to The Agra Fort with its fascinating architecture constructed almost entirely in red sandstone with the exception of the portion where Emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son - which is in marble. This will be followed by a visit to the incomparable Taj Mahal - a symbol of love (Taj Mahal is closed to the public on Fridays) and then the Itmad-ud-Daulah.

Day 2
Breakfast at Hotel.
Proceed to Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way. Fatehpur Sikri is a city built by Emperor Akbar entirely in red sandstone and supposedly deserted due to scarcity of water. The complex has several chambers including the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti who predicted the birth of Akbar's son.
You will proceed directly to the hotel and check-in upon your arrival in to Jaipur.
This evening you will have a chance to relax and enjoy the amenities at the hotel.

Take an excursion of one of the most classical and romantic forts - Amber. This will include your ascending the fort on elephant-back. The fort built by Raja Man Singh (the commander in chief of the Mughal forces under emperor Akbar) in the 16th century. Like most constructions during Akbar's reign the Amber fort too has been made with a fine blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles.
You will begin the afternoon by discovering the beautiful Pink city - visit City Palace complex which still houses the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur, follow this up by a visit to the Jantar Mantar (Observatory) constructed between 1727 & 1734 by the then ruler Sawai Jai Singh II. It is the largest fully functional astronomical observatory in the world made in entirely of stone. Follow this up by a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).
